Hilary and PatriceHilary Field, classical guitarist, is a past winner of the Northwest Young Artist Series Competition and was the first guitarist to ever win the prestigious Ladies Musical Club Soloist Competition. She has held positions as the head of the Guitar department at Seattle Pacific University and Pacific Lutheran University, and has appeared on television and radio throughout North America. Hilary's debut recording, "Music of Spain and Latin America," was an award winner for Classical Album of the Year by the National Association of Independent Record Distributors, and the follow-up release, "Ballad Stories," features the world premiere recording of Jorge Morel's Berceuse for Guitar and String Quartet. Her performance repertoire covers everything from Renaissance to contemporary compositions. Hilary's musical arrangements for classical guitar, voice, and chamber ensemble, can be heard on the award-winning "Siente: Night Songs from the World "and, now, the brand new companion CD, "Cantilena".

Hilary Field has been involved in music education for twenty years. She is the mother of a young child and enjoys sharing music with children and families. Hilary has studied early childhood music development as a registered Music Together,© Musikgarten,© and Suzuki© guitar teacher. She is a member of the Early Childhood Music and Movement Association, and is one of the founders of Mulberry Bush Music and Movement. She has also taught early childhood music through the Seattle Symphony at Soundbridge, and at the Experience Music Project. She holds a BA in Music from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and has performed throughout North America.

Hilary and Patrice tooPatrice O'Neill is known throughout the Pacific Northwest for her beautiful voice and personal songwriting style, as well as her work with the popular group Mel Cooleys. Her wonderfully expressive vocals are featured on her debut solo release, Elusive, which offers original songs that present an extraordinary view of an artist at the peak of her craft. Victory Music Review has praised her "...expressive, yet delicate phrasing"; Dan Roberts wrote about "...a voice so pure and sweet that it could melt rock..."; and Pandemonium reviewer Laura Horton said "Patrice's voice is that of an angel - ; it defines beauty, and demands your attention." Patrice is also an amazing artist; all of the artwork you see on the web site, the disc packaging, and the accompanying songbook, are Patrice O'Neill originals!

For fourteen years, Patrice has been Director of the award winning Wintergrass festival which takes place in Tacoma the last full weekend of February annually. Every June, she also helps to direct the Mandolin Symposium at the University of Santa Cruz with David Grisman, Mike Marshall and other exceptional instructors and players. When she is not directing events, she enjoys writing poetry, bike riding, running and furry critters.
